Voicemail tips for Remote Users or General Voicemail Box extensions

There are two ways to setup remote user voicemail and general voicemail box extensions.

Option 1: From a Nuvio Phone

  1. From a Nuvio phone dial 8888 to reach the voicemail system.
  2. Enter the users extension or general mailbox extension.
  3. When prompted enter the pin number for the voicemail box on that users account, default is 1234.
  4. Once logged in Press 5 to access the advanced features menu
  5. Press option 1 to record a new greeting
  6. You will be prompted to assign a number between 1 and 9 to the greeting before recording. This allows multiple greetings to be saved on the extension.
  7. Once recorded press # to stop recording. The system will give you prompts to play back, save, or re-record.
  8. Once complete the voicemail greeting is set.

Option 2: From an Auto Attendant - If the account has a number that dials an auto attendant.

  1. From a cell or landline phone dial the number that reaches the main Auto Attendant.
  2. When you hear the prompts dial 8888 to reach the voicemail system.
  3. Enter the users extension or general mailbox extension.
  4. When prompted enter the pin number for the voicemail box on that users account, default is 1234.
  5. Once logged in Press 5 to access the advanced features menu
  6. Press option 1 to record a new greeting

Option 1: Calling in from a Nuvio Phone

  1. From a Nuvio phone dial 8888 to reach the voicemail system.
  2. Enter the users extension or general mailbox extension.
  3. When prompted enter the pin number for the voicemail box on that users account, default is 1234.
  4. Once logged in the system will inform you of any new or old messages and start playing them for you.

Option 2: Calling in using an Auto Attendant - If the account has a number that dials an auto attendant.

  1. From a cell or landline phone dial the number that reaches the main Auto Attendant.
  2. When you hear the prompts dial 8888 to reach the voicemail system.
  3. Enter the users extension or general mailbox extension.
  4. When prompted enter the pin number for the voicemail box on that users account, default is 1234.
  5. Once logged in the system will inform you of any new or old messages and start playing them for you.

Option 3: Logging into the Nuvio Portal

  1. From a computer or internet enabled device go to portal.nuvio.com
  2. Log in with your email address and your password, the default is 1234
  3. On the right side of your screen you will see a list of all voicemail that is on your extension. You can choose to Play, download, or delete from the icons on the left side of the message.
  4. *NOTE: You can click on the settings tab at the top of the screen and setup the system to email your voicemails to your email account and then automatically delete the message after it is sent if you would like.
